Dear Mr. Devitt:
I have been holding your letter of November 3 for a few
days, in order to deternine the date that the Government rinting
Office will reprint sale copies of the Committee's report. I have
been told that it will be November 14 before copies will again be
available at the Superintendent of Documents.
The quantity discount at the Government Printing Office
is 25 per cent on orders OF more than 100 copies.
I noticed an advertisement in the New York Times of Friday,
November 7, by the publishing firm of Simon and Schuster, concerning
a commercial edition of the document. It is possible that your
constituent might be interested in writing to this company. The
address is 1230 Sixth Avenue, New York, New York. I do not know
what the quantity discount rates are.
It is kind of you to report the wide interest the document
is receiving in Saint Paul. I am sending your letter on to Chairman
Wilson in New York.
Sincerely yours,
CHARLES J. DURHAM
The Honorable Edward J. Devitt,
405 Federal Courts Building,
Saint Paul 2, Minnesota.
