Hornbuckle thanking her for her letter and stating that events indicate the Republicans are beginning to be scared and that Governor Thomas E. Dewey has arranged a similar itinerary to his hoping to cause enharrassment. lie states that he would like hor to meet the Presidential train in Denver 9/20/48 President has lirs. Hornbuckle's letter. On 9/27/48, Mr. Connelly wired lirs. Hornbuckle suggesting that she contact Mr. E. A. Wildy, U. S. Secret Service, using this wire as identification as he will maice arrangemento for her to moet train. - On 9/17/48, lr. Connelly vote Mr. Wildy en- closing copy of his telegran and S tating lirs.
