he has edited slightly the draft of telegram. Slighly changed telegrams will be
sent to Governors of the Territories and Commissioners of D.C. On 8/3/49
President sends telegram to Governors of States and Governors of Alaska, Hawaii,
Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Prosident of Board of Commissioners of District
of Columbia, re Conference. In telegram to Governors of Torritories states Mr.
Ewing will communicate with them re appointment of committees. Attached is
