P.P.H
Secretary to the President
of the United States,
Washington, D.C.
Dear Sir:
I read in "Time" and the newspapers
of President Truman's trips and they don't fail
to mention the fact that the President plays Poker.
I think it was at Independence, Missouri, that he
played until 1:30 A.M.
We are taught and I believe the law
holds that playing Poker is gambling. I certainly
think it a poor example to set for our youth to
advertise the fact that our President has no regard
for the law.
I believe that the President is a
professing Christian. How can he square his conduct
with his profession and the law.
Sincerely,
FWK MO
