Dear Mr.President:
You will please find attached a copy of
my letter to Mr. Pat M. Neff President of Baylor University of
Texas, regarding the proposed Degree Incident which is self
explanitory in my letter to him.
I as a former Texas Baptist (Now a resident of Oklahoma)
am very sorry that all this publicity has come about, And I
hope and feel that you will be thoughtful and faithful enough
to bring this scene of Mr.Neff's to a sudden termination for
Christ Sake, as I believe that you are in position to do so.
Mr. Truman I meet many people here in our State of Oklahoma
and I am glad to state that most of them feel very greatful
because of your sincere thoughtfulness and firmness as our
New President: bringing to an end numerous New Deal head-
aches- and bringing governmental affairs back out in the open
and above board, in a real "Democratic" way.
When our boys were across the seas fighting so gallantly in
defense of our country, during those days of much anxiety, We
were made happy and thankful, because our President so sin-
cerely requested all christian people of our land to pray to
The True and Living God to guide you in your great responsi-
bility as President of these United States of America.
We are victorious we thank God, most of our boys returned
home to be with us again, but many of them paid the supreme
price and will never return.
In these perilous days when we should be thankful to God
for his blessings and our knowledge of Him, We were made sad
and very dissapointed to hear over the radio and read in the
papers the account of where our President and a bunch of pol-
iticians had spent the Sabbath Day at a "GAY COCKTAIL PARTY"
out on that little Island, But Mr. Truman, God was looking on
in displeasure as He did at old Belshazzar's liquor party when
the handwriting appeared on the wall, and the party was broken
up as recorded in the 5th. Chapter of Daniel.
Mr. Truman, we the people stil have faith in you and are praying
that you may walk chose with the Lord and by His Grace be able
to resist the many temptations that are coming our way, Yes when
the anti-christ in the persons of old Joe Stalin and his gang
are coiled like rattle snakes, because we do not give them the
Automic Bomb and everything we have, Why should we when lying
and murder is a virture to those ungodly gangsters?
May God Guide and Bless You is my Prayer,
