2. itself, we need, and we must have someone BIG enough and strong enough to LEAD us, without breaking down to the pettiness of an old maid whose only thoughts are for herself. If I were to write to you, in threatening form, such as you have written to Mr. Hume, I would, I am sure, incur the wrath of the FBI and would be investigated. Let's not be one-sided about this thing. To me, the most important things that must be considered today are not peoples opinions or criticisms of our own immediate families. If someone said my boy was a poor singer, I would let it go at that, even though I adore my boy, and perhaps think differently. Is this not but a very minor thing, and are there not many things of far more importance to be considered, and considered FIRST ? Here they are: Establish a policy, that the whole world will know what America stand for and what America intends to do, and is DOING, today. Also, so that we Americans can know what we are to do TODAY. Then TELL us what it is. Dont allow the British Prime Minister to dictate our policies and our actions FOR us. Are we leaders, or have we absolved to something akin to the chinese coolies, who under communistic direction are killing our soms and sweeping them into the sea in Korea. Lay out the orders for material and men, and strengthen our national backbone. Take the lazy dependant europeans off the dole and utilize this great Give-a-way for the betterment and for the strengthening and cleansing of our nation, that we may be stalwart and sufficient within ourselves to stand up and protect ousselves, and that we may have the confidence and the moral fiber to do so! Instead of dilly-dallying around, being led here and there by this one and that one, and giving away our resources and our dollars in futile attempts to bribe other nations to depend upon us, and at the same time unwittingly contributing to the evil infection of communism through "outfiltration", and through uncertainties and reverses in poilcies. Let the Chinese Nationalists into their own country--China-- and let them clean it and put their own house in order. Then, prevent the centralization of power in Washington, and allow us to live in a free america free from the gradual inroads of socialism and communism that are ruining our land, our way of life and our government! Quit this small time bickering, as reflected in the enclosed article, and which is now the subject of jest on the radio and in the back- houses all over the nation. If you want to punch me in the nose, go ahead! If you would care to do things the american way, then sit down and write me a letter and tell me what you think. Or, is that asking too much. I have almost no political influence, you know. Very respectfully yours, Stand U Fred W. Kraft Keys. HARRY "NATION ARCHIVES RECORDS SERVICE
