Wrote the President stating that he is pleased to acknowledge the
President's letter of the 9th, and he was highly honored to receive ite States that in
going over some old files he discovered the original Contract dated Sept. 25, 1916 between
Jerry Culbertson, the President, and the writer whe they formed the Partnership of "Morgan
& Company," feels that the President should have this old Partnership Contract and
encloses it for the President's perusal. Writer states that he is trying to carry on some
drilling in Elk County but the labor situation is so tight that his contractor can't se-
cure the necessary skilled labor. Says the small oil operator is still in the same hot
spot. Requests an interview with the President when he is in Washington and asks pro-
cedure. - Encloses a newspaper clipping entitled "Their Friend Harry," and says that
is the way the people feel about the President. - -The President replied on June 14, 1945,
expressing thanks for Mr. Morgan's letter and his appreciation for sending him that contract.
The President further states that he is writing out the statement on the back - that is
brings back old memories.
