On your Golden Wedding Anniversary, Mrs.
Nixon and I wish you a full measure of the
happiness and contentment these years have
earned for you.
To have lived a fruitful, meaningful life together
is in itself a proud achievement. But to have
shared the kind of commitment to America that
has marked your own long decades of devotion
to each other is an example that is inspiring to
all who know you.
