3 *MATIONA& GEORGE E. ALLEN ARCHIVER AMD RECORDS WORLD CENTER BUILDING WASHINGTON 6, D.C. September 17, 1951 Dear Mr. President, Every time I spend a weekend with you on the "Williamsburg", I return with a greater appreciation and understanding of the great human being you are. It is so reassuring to know that as long as we are right as a nation or as an individual, we will always win. Your kindness and friendship are worth so much to me that I couldn't resist this time writing you a letter and telling you so. Your extra courtesy of getting up and having breakfast with me before letting me off at Quantico really made me try to put my lasting gratitude on paper. All I can say is that I hope that in some way I may be able to repay you for all you have done for me. Respectfully, flos George E'. Allen The Honorable Harry S. Truman President of the United States Washington, D. C.
