Army is performing magnificently and far beyond
official expectations or calculations in repatriation
of displaced persons As of May 14 alone there have
passed through Belgium en route to Franco 284,711
Frenchmen. They are now going through Belgium at rate
of 20,000 per day.
In addition to this they are moving
back to France across other borders by rail, by truck
and by plane in great numbers.
Repatriation of Bolgians has been equally efficient,
As of May 14 there had been repatriated to Belgium
BATIONAL
105,825 persons.

In my opinion end of July will see end of any major
problem of displaced persons in Germany unless we under-
take to go outside sphere of our responsibilities and help
Russians take care of their own compatriots and those
such as Poles, Czechs and others under their control
and most of them will be out of the category of displaced
persons if a comparable job is done in movements to east.
