MEMORANDUM FOR MR. CRIM:
In accordance with your pencilled note I hand you herewith a copy
of the letter of November 24th to the Commissioner of Public Buildings, re-
lative to the completion of the work on the Executive Mansion.
I don't have a draft of the contract as now proposed with B. Alt-
man & Co. The wording of the contract depends on whether or not it is
determined to name the Committee in the contract or whether the Committee
is to be otherwise established and the contract to be drawn in more usual
language. Pending final decision, PBS is sending Altman a letter of intent
under which the work will be started.
I enclose a copy of the draft submitted by PBS which is still in
the form in which you first saw it.
