Dear Mr. Delano:
I certainly appreciated your good letter of the
eleventh. I am happy that you could be present
at the luncheon and I am glad you enjoyed it.
Y ou have made a great contribution to the archi-
tectural beauty of the White House I think. If you
and I could have revamped that Pennsylvania
Avenue porch on the north side of the White House
itself, we would have had a perfect architectural
Presidents' House. Sometime or other I hope
somebody will do that job.
It is always a pleasure to see and talk with you.
