Dear Mr. Orr:
Thanks very much for your good letter of the
fourteenth. A hope I did not cause you too much
misery while you were trying to get the White
House rehabilitated. It turned out to be a fine
job and nobody appreciates it more than 1 do. X
can say this to you, confidentially - McKim,
Meade and White would probably turn over in
their graves if they knew that we really have done
a job on the old White House.
