to Communism in Italy

The enclosed copy of the views of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff with respect to the reference report on the subject,
transmitted by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, is
circulated herewith for the information of the National Security
Council in connection with its consideration of NSC 67 at the
Council meeting on April 20, 1950.
