a. The basis of a strong financial structure is the strength
of the American dollar.
b. Economy in government is a helpful factor and the President
is achieving it.
C. Original demands of departments have already been cut
substantially by President in the preparation of the budget.
7. Present budget is necessary to do the job. All economies
possible will be attained in administering it.
8. To maintain increased strength of our financial structure
we should retain the present tax rate and start paying off the national
debt.
a. In prosperous times such as these the wise man pays his
debts and prepares for possible lean years ahead.
b. Use illustration of individual citizen having note at
bank and paying off on note when times are good.
9. Most important of all in meeting the tremendous responsibilities
of today is the spirit of the American people.
a. This is our destiny and we can succeed magnificently with
the spirit of courage and high idealism or fail miserably if
selfishness, cowardice and weakness prevail.
