The Governments of the United States of America, the Union of
Soviet Socialist Republies, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland, and the French Republic,
Having, on June 5, 1945, declared their intention to effent the
total disarnament and demilitarization of Germany;
Noting that this intention hes already been fulfilled in sub-
stantial measure;
Being determined that nothing shall prevent or delay the complete
and uneonditional fulfillment 62 this intention and that the disarmane
and demilitarisation of Germany shall be enforced ao long a.a the peaca
and security of the world mey require;
Being resolved that in the expecution of this determination regard
be had for the purposes, principles and obligations of the Charter of
the United Nations, end in particular to Articles 49, 52, 52, 53, 54 and
107 of the Charter;
Being convineed that the execution of the above determination and
resolution will permit the nations of Burope and the world to roturn
single-sindedly to the habits of peace;
Have agreed as follows:
