I appreciated most highly your letter
of September twenty-fifth, also. the
tsenty-sixth, and I am pleased with
your good opinion of Bill Pawley. I
think he is an able public servant.
I am glad to have the Secret corres-
pondence between you and Mr. Clayton,
Secretary Byrnes and the British
Ambassador.
