From The President
I appreciated your sending me the
speeches of Stephen M. Young. It looks as if
the Congress is at last waking up to the nec-
essity for some action. They have been a long
time about it.
I also appreciated very much the
opportunity to read Miss Laughlin's letter.

It is a most interesting document. We are
faced with a very peculiar situation in all
these satellite countries, and I hope we can
get it worked out.
