Dear Mr. Ambassador:
I appreciate very much your letter of the twentieth.
I am sure that we have the hysteria people on the
run. There is a Resolution in the Senate now to
expell McCarthy for his actions. I don't know
whether it will get anywhere or not but it shows
there is an awakening to the situation with which
we are faced.
I am enclosing you copies of the latest speeches
and the article from Look, written by one of our
great historians.
