7519 June 20, 1952 Dear Mr. Ambassador: I was certainly happy to receive your letter of June thirteenth. I am glad that my letter to the President of Chile had the desired effect. I am sure that things will eventually work out all right. Should we be lucky enough to get the steel strike settled within the next week or ten days I think we will probably be off to the races for the coming Campaign. The Republicans have played a very stupid game. In fact, the Democratic Committee could not have outlined a better one to help the Democrats win. It seems they always do that along about this time in an election year. I am always happy to hear from you and 1 hope everything is going well with you. morning Sincerely yours, ARCHIVES HARRY S.
