STANDA RD FORM NO. 64
Office Memorandum
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT
mor
DATE: 8-12-46
TO
: Mr. Connelly
FROM :
Mr. Vincent
SUBJECT:
Letter to Dr. Wellington Koo
Dear Mr. Connelly:
The President, when he signed the
letter to the Chinese Ambassador Saturday
afternoon, did not keep a copy. As it
is my understanding that the White House
wants 5 copies of anything prepared in
the State Department for the President's
signature, I am enclosing 5 copies of
the letter.
Saturday morning I left with you the
original and the only copy we have of
General Marshall's message addressed to
Dean Acheson. I should appreciate very
much your having someone send the original
back to me, wi th the copy if you don' t
need it.
