Special Report: The Doughton Bill The following is a summary of the current position as indicated by opinion polls, press and radio comment and statements by leaders and national organizations. A. Polls 1. The Public at Large Three out of four think *U.S. should reduce its tariffs on the goods other countries vant to sell here provided they reduce their tariffs and other restrictions on our goode'. (Centril) 2. That Quarter of the Public Which Has Heard of Trade Agreements and Has Opinions Nine out of ten think the trade agreements pro- gram should be continued.
