PERSONAL FOR THE ACTING SECRETARY FROM THE AMBASSADOR
Both De Gasperi and Sforza have told me how greatly
pleased they were over the President's recent message to
Congress. They added that in their opinion the message
would be of real assistance to them in fighting for those
democratic principles we so nuch desire to see in Italy.
