November 21, 1952 Sun Dear Mr. Ambassador: I certainly did appreciate your good personal letter of the fourteenth more than I can tell you. 1 sincerely hope that things eventually will work out as we all hope for - that is for a peaceful world. You are entirely familiar with the steps which have been taken to bring that about. I've had a very satisfactory interview with the General and I hope he will continue to impiement the policies which so far have kept us out of a Third World War.
