Gynaw
U. S. Naval Station,
Key West, Florida.
November 13, 1952.
Dear Fred:
How kind and generous you are in returning
my check in the amount of (500.00 with your letter of
November 8th.
I am deeply interested in athletics in
Gernany as a genuine morale builder and surely all
who supply the necessary equipment are contributing
to a highly constructive work.
You are, therefore, performing a genuinely
patriotic aot in donating the volleyballs, basketballs,
soccerballs, footballs and ping pong sets for use in
Germany and for which I had tendered personal check
now returned to me with the assurance that you will
underwrite the expense.
with my thanks to you go also kindest re-s
membrances to I am getting a good rest down
hare despite the exactions of the job. l'res. Truman
and Margaret will join me later.
Gratefully and sincerely,
TRUNAR
