Dear Dr. Grady:
I certainly appreciated your good letter of
July nineteenth in regard to the situation in
India generally.
I am glad you liked the picture.
Your reference to the attitude of Asia toward
the United States and Great Britain is one
that is to be expected and all we can do is try
to live it down.
1 do hope very much that India will come out
of all the turmoil with a sound economic and
stable democratic government.
I'11 appreciate it if you will inform me on the
situation when it is convenient.
