My dear Judge Proskauer:
I read your telegram of November twenty-seventh with a
great deal of interest and it is perfectly evident from the results
that the facts didn't justify your feeling uneasy as to what would
happen.
I don't think I ever had as much pressure put on The
White House, evidently under the belief that the integrity of The
White House was not to be depended upon. It didn't please me very
much because I don't do business that way.
