Impossibility of Obtaining Natural Rubber
Requirements unless Additional Rubber Areas
Captured.
DATE: June 15, 1945
On the basis of War Production Board estimates of natural rubber
requirements, Combined Raw Materials Board estimates of the amount
which can be allocated to the United States from British and other
sources, and Rubber Development Corporation estimates of the amount
it can obtain from all sources now available to it, we will cease to
have a working supply of natural rubber during the first quarter of
the year 1946; unless:
Either:
A. Requirements are immediately reduced; or
B. Additional important sources of natural
rubber are immediately captured.
