Dear Mr. President:
I know you are planning to
attend the ceremonies at Hyde Park on
April 12th, and I should like to know
if there is any way in which I could
make your trip more comfortable. How
many will there be in your party? I
understand it may not be possible for
Mrs. Truman to accompany you.
In view of the fact that Mr.
AND
Ickes had so much to do with the house
and grounds in the beginning, I wonder
if it would cause you the slightest
embarrassment 1f I were to ask Mr. and
Mrs. Ickes to attend the ceremonies?
I consider them my personal friends
and would like to ask them to be
present if it is agreeable to you.
Very cordially yours,
Thank Roosevelt
I am hoping that you place from
to faffoluuch thing your party Day
collarge attern, before the terearsour?
