342 MADISON AVIDUE
NEW YORK 17. NEW YORK
Decenber 13, 1945
Dear Mr. Prosidents
The United Feature Syndicate for whom I write
my daily column. har asked me sgain if 1 still plan to
go to Bussia in the spring, as they would have to start
the machinery if I am to go-
1 am very nuch interested in goung unl ess sone-
thing unforeseen happens, and I would like to go about
the middle of liarch for about four or five weeks. This
however, may conflict with the other interest about
which you telephoned me in reference to the United
Nations Organization. I would feel that that was the
more important.
Could you tell me if there might be a conflict
and whether I should keep my time fairly flexible for
the spring? I would not want to make any definite
committments with regard to Bussia and then have to
give up the trip, as I think it might have a bad
reaction.
I do not like to bo ther you with all of this,
but 1 shall appreciate your advice.
Looking forward to seeing you and Mrs. Truman
on January 7th, I
Very cordially yours,
Thann Prosecult
Dec 17. Adrising her to go if she inited.
