Operations: ENEMY SITUATION a Southwest of Taejon in the Nonsan-Kanggyong area, an enemy force described as possibly the 4th division was reported. Changhang is completely occupied by the enemy Pilots reported enemy tanks south of Nonsan. At Iri enemy elements estimated at 300 were observed. While it has been reported that an enemy infantry company succeeded in pene- trating Taejon, there is no indication that the city has fallen. (FECOM) (SECRET) b. The enemy 15th and 5th divisions continued their advance south ward with battalions of the 15th reported at Yongyu and in the vicinity of Kal-lyong Another source estimated that there were two enemy companies at Sowon These enemy elements were attacked and presumably defeated by the reinforced 17th ROK Regiment.
