1. Weather:
Scattered low clouds bases 3,500 tops 8,000 feet, visibility unrestricted
over all of Korea except the east coast which had persistent haze. Forecast:

3. Operations:
ENEMY SITUATION
a. On the west coast the 4th North Korean Division continuing its unin-
terrupted drive southward entered Mokpo with an estimated regiment which was
armed with automatic weapons and supported by armor. The enemy in estimated
division strength is reported in Namwon and vicinity. This report increases the
likelihood of an additional unidentified division in this sector. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. Increased movement of the 3d North Korean Division's troops and
tanks are reported along the Taejon=Yongdong axis. Enemy motorized columns
are moving from Taejon and concentrating in the vicinity of Kumsan. The enemy
in estimated company strength supported by tanks is reported at Mupungjang
Enemy probing and infiltrating continued in the vicinity of Simchon. The en emy
in unknown strength supported by tanks occupies Yongsan. (FECOM) (SECRET)
Co An attack in force by elements of the 2d North Korean Division in
the vicinity of Chongsan was repulsed with three enemy tanks destroyed. A large
unidentified force supported by artillery and armor was reported moving south
from Poun. (FECOM) (SECRET)
