Os The 24th Infantry Division's 19th Regiment continued its de- fense west of Chinju against attacking enemy infantry, tanks, and artillery. The 21st RCT, less the 3d Battalion, was ordered to relieve the 34th RCT. The 34th RCT organized and defended positions about 7 miles southeast of Kochang. (FECOM) (SECRET) p. The 25th Infantry Division withdrew as planned to new defensive positions west of Sangju and defended against renewed enemy attacks. The division was ordered to continue aggressive action. Guard and police units were ordered to Kongsan-Myon, 10 miles north of Taegu and Pohyon-San, 30 miles northeast of Taegu. The ROK Marine battalion was last reported moving from Hamyang to Kochang. (FECOM) (SECRET) t. The Capitol Division's 18th Regiment attacked an enemy con- centration between Yechon and Andong to open the main supply route.
