Corcoran told him that was going to get a lot of messages from the State Department and from the Democratic National Committee and wanted to know if he would send them to Corcoran as soon as they came in. Clements said that Pepper left a memorandum for him to follow. They discuss Pepper's trip. Corcoran said he will keep in touch with Clements. 12:30 pm CORCORAN to LEO CROWLEY telling him that Judge Bowdoin was in his office and wanted to know if LEO wanted WARD to talk to him about the Louisville case. Leo said that he talked to Ward and wanted to know if Ward called him. Leo said that they tried to get Louisville on the phone but no success. Corcoran suggested that Ward had better talk to George now so that he knows what George Bowdoin knows. Leo said to have him come over to Ward's office about half past two. O. K. 12:40 pm CORCORAN to (Arthur E?) Goldschmidt (office of Secretary of Interior?) telling him that he heard that there was a lot of people who were out to get him. Corcoran told him that he was behind him 100% and would fight for him. 2:55 PM. CORCORAN to Senator Guffey and talks to Bill Bailey. Corcoran says that the matter that Bailey talked with Mr. Nacey about was the same. T. C. says that it was vote the way that it was and that the vote will be out next week. T. C. says that Nacey's boss is the only one who can handle
