1. Weather:
Broken to overcast middle and high clouds with scattered to
broken low clouds over all Korea. Limited visibilities during the day
of 7-10 miles. Battle area temperatures ranged as high as 60 degrees
F. Forecast: Overcast low, middle and high clouds over all Korea
with gradual clearing as a cold front moves to the southeast across
Korea by 1200 (KT). (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy resistance on the Eighth Army front ranged from light
to none. Patrols observed an estimated enemy Division north of the
Imjin River in the Munsan sector. Air observed evidence of a buildup
12 miles north of Uijongbu. In the rear areas, air observed 864 vehicles
during the night of 26-27 March of which 646 were moving south. Air
also observed 300 bunkers and caves manned by approximately 1, 500
troops in an area 7 miles square, 30 miles north-northwest of Chunchon.

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
a. General: The Seoul salient is practically eliminated.
Eighth Army units continue the limited objective offensive with close
lateral coordination being maintained. ROK elements are 2 to 3 miles
north of the 38th parallel on the extreme east flank. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I U.S. Corps: 1st ROK Division units maintained positions
in the vicinity of Munsan. Patrols observed an estimated enemy division
along the north bank of the Imjin River from 5 to 10 miles northeast of
Münsan. 3d U.S. Infantry Division: The 65th U.S. Infantry Regiment
advanced unopposed to positions 8 miles east of Munsan. The 187th
Airborne RCT attacking east, closed in an area 10 miles north of Uijong-
bu. A 65th Infantry Armored Task Force advancing north of Uijongbu
joined the 187th without enemy contact. The 15th U.S. Infantry Regiment
advanced against light resistance to positions 7 miles north of Uijongbu.
Air reports evidence of an enemy buildup 2 miles north of 187th Airborne
