Nebraska has a reputation of having great and efficient public
officials. You have an outstanding chief executive. You have two

very able Senators with neither of whom I. agree completely, but that
doesn't prevent them from being great Senators. Omaha is very capably
represented in the House of Representatives by the Honorable "Chick"

Now, I want this great State to keep up its present reputation
for great public servants by nominating and electing another one for
Lieutenant-Governor. I want the people of Nebraska to know Edtlie McKim
as I know him. If you become acquainted with him, you'11 unanimously
nominate and elect him.
I have known him for twenty-two years. I have known him under
fire in war. I have known him at work in peacetime. I have known him
as a business man and as a citizen and the father of the loveliest
family I am acquainted with.
It was my duty to command a battery of field artillery in the
World War some twenty years ago. That battery was made up of young men
from Kansas City, Missouri -- young men of the Missouri National Guard.
