Mr. Robert S. Bush
Savannah, Missouri
Dear Mr. Bush:
In answer to your recent letter, addressed
to the Vice Presi dent, relative to an Annapolis appoint-
ment, T feel sure that Senator Briggs assumed his present
office with all of his appointments filled by his prede-
cessor. While there is no reguler appointment due for
sometime, no one can tell. when an emergency appointment
will come up.
We are not in a position to advise Senator
Briggs on a matter of this kind, but I foel sure that
a letter of application from you will get thorough
consideration upon his next vacancy.
Sincerely yours,
Harry H. Vaughan
