COPY Washington, D. C. January 25, 1940 The American Consul General Athens, Greece Dear Sir: In June, 1939 I wrote you regarding the immigration visa case of Ioannis Asimakopoulos of Athens, who wishes to come to this country to make his home with his uncle, Mr. Jim Theodoro of De Soto, Missouri. I would appreciate your informing me of the status of this case at the présent time. I should like particularly to know whether the papers and affidavits sent to you by Mr. Theodoro were surficient to demonstrate his ability to provide for his nephew after he comes to this country, and whether Mr. Asinakopoulos has appeared at the Consulate to make application for the visa. Anything that you may be able to do to holp in this case will be very highly appreciated. Sincerely yours, Harry S. Truman HST/cb Us
