CLASSIFICATION OF PROJECTS
Some of the projects listed in the following pages have
been carried out in various sections of the country by work relief.
As civil works projects they offer real work at regular wages. They
are, for most part, work that would not be done by regular Govern-
mental Departments or work that could be done under the Public Works
Administration. Some of them can be carried out in only certain
sections of the country. Others are projects that can only be carried
on at certain times of the year. Projects should be chosen for their
social value. They should be of benefit to the community; and as far
as possible they should be suited to the workers who do the job.
