IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 18, 1947
With the approval of the Prosident, Goneral Omar N.
Bradley, Administrator of Vetorans Affairs, will tako six
weeks' leavo from that post and during that period will serve
with the War Department at the invitation of the Secretary of
War, to inspect United Statos Army troops and installations
TRUMAN NARA
in the European and Mediterranean theators.
He will leave for Germany early in August. On his
return to the United States, Genoral Bradley will resume his
duties in the Veterans Administration.
It will be the General's first visit to Europe since
he was called from command of the 12th Army Group in August,
1915, to become Administrator of Veterans Affairs.
