B.S.
My dear Miss Jones:
Both Mrs. Truman and the
President appreciate your generous
offer to entertain for their guests.
At present no plans are being made
for any entertainments at the White
House. Mrs. Truman wishes me to
assure you of her appreciation of
your courteous offer, and she will
be glad to keep your name on file
if the occasion arises for the in-
formal type of entertainment such
as you would like to give here.
Very sincerely yours,
Mrs. J. M. Helm
Secretary to Mrs. Truman
