June 16, 1945
My dear Mrs. Jordan:
HYWAHS &
Since writing you on June
eighth, I find that the White House is
still closed to visitors and is likely
to be for some time.
Mrs. Truman is very sorry
that it is not possible to have the
group of club women visit here this
year. It will be another cause for re-
joicing when the war is over that this
historic house will be open again and
those who wish to visit it may do so
when the opportunity offers.
Very sincerely yours,
Secretary to Mrs. Truman
Mrs. Thomas J. Jordan
