THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON Feb. 18, 1947 MEMORANDUM FOR MRS. TRUMAN: Colonel Lowry gave me this message from Mr. Matthew R. Pack, who is the Vice President of Remington Rand Typewriter Company. Mr. Pack came here to tea yesterday. He said that the Remington Rand will soon make its ten millionth type- writer and they would like to present this one to Margaret if she will accept it. Colonel Lowry said he has no inter- TROMAS est in this other than to transmit this message from Mr. Pack, whom he knows.
