PEARSON, HON. OSBORNE A. February 11, 1952 TRUNKM NATIONAL LIVE SERVICE E My dear Mr. Pearson: Mr. Connelly has referred your letter to me. The article which you men- tion in the Washington papers was evi- dently in error, as Mrs. Truman is not having any teas for the "wives of members of the Junior Cabinet." II The only enter- tainments she has had are two luncheons for the wives of some of the heads of the various agencies and some other officials of the government who have not been en- tertained at the White House. This list does not include the wives of the Assis- tant Secretaries, as the limitations of space at Blair House prevent Mrs. Truman from having as large a Luncheon as she would customarily give were the White House open. Very sincerely yours, Mrs. J. II, Helm Secretary to Mrs. Truman Hon. Osborne A. Pearson Assistant Postmaster General Washington 25, D. C. ia
