    "ocrText": "November 26, 1963\nMr. J. E. Curry\nChief of Police\nSubject: Assignment Of Officer\nL. E. Jez #1479 On\nSunday, November 24, 1963\nSir:\nAt approximately 9:00 A.M., Sunday, November 24, 1963 I was relieved\nof my post on the Third Floor of the City Hall by Sergeant Putnam.\nI went to the basement of the City Hall where I reported to Sergeant\nDean. I was assigned to the City Hall Doctor's Office and the two\nadjacent doors, one of which was the annex stairway door. I then\nstood by the stairway door until Sergeant Putnam and Sergeant Dean\narrived in the basement with several Reserve Police Officers at\nwhich time another officer was assigned to this position and I helped\nsearch the basement for unauthorized personnel. This assignment was\ncompleted at approximately 9:25 A.M.\nI was then assigned to Sergeant Steele and we went across Commerce\nStreet to search the buildings lining the south side of the street.\nThis assignment was completed at approximately 9:55 A.M. After this,\nI was posted at the Commerce Street exit ramp of the City Hall Basement.\nI remained at this post and allowed only properly identified press and\npolice personnel to enter. At approximately 11:00 A.M. two armored aars\narrived at the ramp exit and my assignment was to assist these trucks\nbacking into the ramp.\nI then went to the intersection of Commerce and Harwood to stop the flow\nof traffic until the armored trucks and escort cars could leave. the City\nHall. I worked traffic until approximately 12:30 P.M. when I returned to\nthe exit ramp.\nI was relieved by Sergeant Dean at approximately 1:00 P.M. at which time\nI went to the Patrol Office (Station 511).\nRespectfully submitted,\nJ.C.A\nL.
