13 Feb 68 To Bethell? District Attorney James Garrison, Office of the District Attorney, New Orleans, Louisiana Dear Sir: Upon reading what you have to say concerning Right Wing elements active in the Kennedy assassination conspiracy, I decided I may have some pieces of information you may find curiously interesting. I do not know how valuable they will be to you but, then again, I am not conducting the investigation. From July, 1967, to December, 1957, I was a probationary member of the National Socialist White Peoples' Party, or, the American Nazi Panty. I have been to the National Headquarters at Arlington, Va., and to headquarters of the Western Division in El Monte, California. I am familiar with Party publications and personnel. I have 2 good, if not excellent, understanding of Nazi Party thinking and policies, besides a well established personal mental "file" of individuals active in the NSWPP and their thoughts. Here, then, are some facts and ideas I have come across since my break with Right Wing groups last December, which to me are extremely interesting and perhaps questionable. 1) A photograph secretly taken on or about Oct. 3, 1967, at Arlington, Virginia, of an automobile which fits a, description given by a witness of an auto she saw leaving the assassination scene in Dallas. (owner unknowm, although it may belong to a G/L Redfield.) 2) The assassinated leader of the NSWPP, G.L. Rockwell, was killed with a pistol of the same type suspected to have been used by an unknown assassin to fire the fatal shot into the right side of the President's head. (Used to kill Rockwell by a John Patler, I heard at Arlington that the Mauser.Machine pistol (about a 7 mm Cal) was stolen from a Party Officer, Capt. Robert Lloyd. 3) In about the latter part of 1963, Capt. Lloyd suddenly faded from the Party scene, along with several other members of the Party hiarchy, and was no longer mentioned in Nazi publications. In October, 1967, I heard an Arlington Staff member talking to Capt. Lloyd on the Party telephone. 4) Capt. Lloyd was extremely clever and quite interested in security and secret "activities"; he is noted for appearing, un-challenged, upon the floor of the Senate wearing a stove-pipe hat and black face! How he managed to slip past Senate guards dressed like that has remained a secret. 5) The Dallas NSWPP Leader uses an assumed name in all communications with Arlington via public means. I do not know of what good this information will be to you, but I am willing to answer any questions you may have concorning Party personnel and activities at any time. Sincerely, -William Witchenee Pvt. William Whitmeyer RA 18 843 879 HHt, 3rd Sadn, 6th A.C.R. Ft. Meade, Maryland, 20755
