SGT. T. DUFFY AND DET. C. NAVARRE
About 12 Noon Sgt. Thomas Duffy and Det. Cliency
Navarre interviewed MR. A. B. SAUX, Administrator of Ochsner
Clinic. This interview was in MR. SAUX'S office at Ochsner
Clinic. MR. SAUX stated that the clinic had heard of the rumor
of JACK RUBY being a patient at the clinic. He stated that
various news services had been calling the clinic in this
respect. MR. SAUX stated that Dr. Ochsner had ordered a complete
check of the files to determine if JACK RUBY had ever been a
patient. MR. SAUX checked the files for a JACK or JOHN RUBY,
a JACK or JOHN or JOE or JOSEPH RUBINSTEIN, or any other name
that may be close. This check revealed that he had never been
a patient. MR. SAUX stated that had RUBY been a patient in the
year prior to the President's death, even if he had used an
assumed name, he is sure that someone on the staff would have
recognized his face as a patient, because of all the subsequent
publicity of RUBY. He also stated that had RUBY been a cancer
patient in 1953, he would have been able to locate his file be-
cause all of the cancer patients are "red flagged" on their
file. He stated that he is almost 1000% sure that RUBY has
never been a patient at Ochsner under any name.
