    "ocrText": "Mr. Jo E. Curry - Page 2\n.\nWe went to the I. D. dark room for the interview. They told me that they\nwere invertigating Jack Ruby, and were spoaking to several officers about\nthe man. Then they rend me a statement alleged to have been taken from\nthe Dallas County District Attorney's files pertaining to an arrest I made\nof Jack Ruby in December, 1954, for a liquor law violation. In the alleged\nstaterent, they stated the case sas dismissed against Ruby by Mr. Lem Brotherton\nas the result of statements by the arresting officers, Blankenship and Carlson,\nbecause the officors were unable to state that they definitely saw a patron\nconsuming from a partly consumed bottle of beer on her table in the case\nmentioned. The case involved permitting consumption on licensed premises\nafter hours, that is at 1:30 am on a Sunday morning. They asked me if\nI\nrecall making this statement to Mr. Erotherton. I stated I did not recall\nmaking the statement. They also alleged that the statement by Mr. Brotherton\nshowed that the officers stated they did not even know a case had been filed.\nThey asked me if this was true. I stated I could not recall having made this\nstatement. I then advised them that we should look at the case report, where-\nin I should be able to tell them if I typed the report, because I believe I\ncould recognize my own typing, because of certain peculiarities in the form\nand language, which I could possibly identify as my own. I left them in the\ndark room, and pot the jacket. As I started back to the dark room, I asked\nLt. Knight if he knew I was being interrogated by the F. B. I. I then told\nhim they were asking me about Jack Ruby, and I asked him if I was authorized\nto make 'any statements, Lt. Knight informed me that I'was to 'cooperate with\nthom, but not to give them anything from our files, unless I got permission\nfrom the Chief's office.\nC - 4"
