JOHNSON, Daily Diary Mrs. Johnson began her day (Place) LBJ Ranch Friday, 23 December 196, at Date Entry No. Time Activity 10:41 With the President to Mr. Klein's workshop. 10:46 With the President, depart in Blue Thunderbird for drive. 10:59 Return to house. 11:30 Leave main house with Lynda and the President. Stop at Cedar House to visit with Luci and Pat. Drive past main house and pause to direct unloading of cherry trees. Then, toured ranches. 12:57 Return to main house. 1:10 Lunch with the Fresident, Lynda, Jim Jones, Mary Slater. Discussed Christmas gifts with the Hills, Moursunds, and the Winters. 2:07 Left via helicopter for Austin. 2:38 Arrived Camp Mabry; joined by Mr. W. Williams (Austin City Manager) and Mr. Beverly Sheffield (Director of Recreation and Parks, Austin). 3:08 Arrived Park & Recreation Building, 1500 W. Riverside, Austin. Viewed proposed park and recreation projects for City of Austin. 3:50 Drove around and viewed beautification areas of Austin and along river. 4:45 Arrived Larry's Beauty Salon. (Mssrs. Wms. and Sheffield were driven back to their offices) 6:32 Departed Larry's for helicopter pad; left for Ranch. 7:15 Arrived LBJ Ranch; immediately to main house. 9:00 Dinner with the President, judge/M A.W.Moursund, M/M J. Hill, J.C. Kellam, Jake, Jin, and Mary ?? Retired.
