This may not be worthwhile, but it's
interesting:
Mary V. attended a meeting of the
steering committee of the Texas Exes
club yesterday Dale Miller said in
the conversation, "It's too bad that
one man down in Three Rivers could
bring on an international incident.
It's even worse, though, that some
of the men in Congress would try to
capitalize on it for their own political
position."
His statement immediately provoked a
bitter retort by Dave Botter who
accused Dale of accusing the Boss and
Dave promptly defended the Senator at
great length.
Mary V. was merely an awed bystander,
never having known Botter or Miller
before and she told me about mostly
because of amazement at Botter's lively
defense and glowing words.
